Originally built as a minimalist experiment, the Cabrinha AER Wing has quickly turned into a favorite (for good reason!). This wing may have some smaller sizes, but don’t be fooled: it delivers next-level performance.

Engineered with a high-dihedral shape, draft-forward airfoil, and convext strut, the AER offers awesome low-end lift, featherlight handling, and solid upwind tracking. Progressive tip twist ensures each size maintains responsive sheeting, while the Nano Ripstop canopy and dual Airlock valves bring real-world durability and custom pressure tuning. New semi-grid handles and a refined layout make it a dream for downwinders and SUP sessions. With sizes from 1m to 6m, there’s one for every rider, from wind-hungry weekend warriors to pint-sized future pros.

All About the Cabrinha AER Wing

There are a lot of wing designs out there, but every so often a new one comes along that changes the status quo and makes people say, “Finally…!”

What started out as a project to see just how much weight Cabrinha’s R & D team could reduce to create a simple wing, ended up as a product that blew the team’s mind. It’s a wing that is as light as others made out of specific light weight materials, and something that is also easy to pack down really small. This quickly became the go-to wing for many of the team, especially for people looking at winging upwind, packing down and SUP downwinding back.

Many of the attributes that make this such a fun and versatile wing for every day uses also made Cabrinha realize there is a potential to get a whole new demographic into the sport: kids! This light weight wing gives children the product they need to not only get into the sport, but also to progress. Perhaps the biggest challenge will be trying to keep it out of their parents’ hands on the windy days!

• AER HIGH DIHEDRAL – The AER has a high amount of Dihedral which helps greatly in upwind stability and reactive handling.
• FULL AIRFOIL – The full centre section airfoil increases the low end power helping you get up and going with minimal effort.
• NOT A TOY – The small sizes have been designed specifically for not only smaller riders, but to also be used by larger riders in higher winds.
• CONVEX STRUT – The Convex support strut on the Mantis V3 provides a stiffer and more reactive connection between the rider and wing.
• 20/20 VISION – A refined window layout, running parallel alongside the strut, made from weather resistant TPU provides increased visibility when riding.
• TIP TWIST – Progressive tip twist as the sizing increases in the Vision range helps keep sheeting relative and responsive no matter what size wing you ride.

NANO RIPSTOP
Nano Ripstop is a 55 g/m2 material with a 3mm double rip stop pattern. This micro rip stop material in unison with a newly developed coating, has given us a 2X increase in the canopy’s tear strength. A smaller rip stop pattern increases the amount of “cells” in any given panel.

FEATHERWEIGHT HANDLES
These lightweight handles help reduce the weight of the wing, but also help when packing down for downwinders.

DUAL AIRLOCK
Two airlock valves give you the ability to customize your LE to strut pressure based on the size of wing you are using.

TE LOAD DISTRIBUTOR
TE load distributor increases wing durability while robustly helps distribute wing tension throughout the Trailing Edge. The abrasive material stops scuffing while the wing rests on land.
