2026 Cabrinha Mantis APEX Wing

Sizes: 4m / 4.5m / 5.5m

HIGH PERFORMANCE FREERIDE

Who’s It For: Designed for intermediate and advanced wing foilers who demand precision, responsiveness, and control.

For 2026, Cabrinha has taken the proven DNA of the Mantis and re-engineered it around maximum responsiveness.

New this year is the Aluula Gold construction — an ultra-light and highly-rigid composite that sits along the leading edge center and strut.

That means you’re getting next-level stiffness without the weight, giving the wing an immediate, tactile feel with every gust and pump. Pair that with a convex strut for added frame tension, a fine-tuned wingtip twist for sheeting, and a spanwise load panel layout for even distribution, and you have a wing that is made for riders who like to feel dialed in, 100% of the time.

2026 Cabrinha Mantis Apex Wing Review

Dead center along Michigan’s west coast you’ll see two little bumps sticking out. They’re great places to go when the wind isn’t cooperating anywhere else, and Tucker got a nice session on the new 2026 Cabrinha Mantis Apex wing at the point to the south, Little Sable Point. How does the Apex compare to the standard Mantis, and is it worth it for you?

Interview with Cabrinha’s Brendan Healy

MACkite’s Aaron got a chance to sit down with Brendan Healy from Cabrinha and talk about the design choices behind the Mantis Apex and who it’s for.

What Cabrinha has to say about the Mantis Apex:

Design Profile: Ultra High rigidity Aluula LE, Low Dihedral with full powered profile, Medium AR and convex strut.

The Mantis has been Cabrinha and the wing foil’s world since its inception. A product that not only helped define its place in the market, but also led the way to many others who have tried to tap into its unique and special feeling. With this foundation in mind, they went on to create the Mantis Apex.

At the core of the Apex is Aluula Gold, a material that’s as light as it is responsive. By building it into the center section of the leading edge and strut — and utilizing HTD Lite in the wingtips — Cabrinha has created a wing that reacts faster, holds its shape longer, and gives back exactly what you put in.

The Mantis Apex is more than high end performance. The wing breathes with you. It stays alive in the gusts and keeps stable in the glide. It’s sharper, more controlled, and more intuitive.

For Cabrinha, design isn’t about trends. It’s about feel. And when something feels right, you know it’s built with purpose.
