Core Bolt 4 Kiteboard: The Uncompromising Wakestyle Weapon

For the riders who live for the click of bindings and the sound of a board sliding across a rail, the Core Bolt 4 is the ultimate high-performance tool. Designed as a dedicated, boot-only wakestyle machine, the Bolt 4 is engineered to withstand the most brutal punishment—whether you are hitting features at the cable park or boosting unhooked “Heart Attacks” and “Slim Chances” on the open water.

At Water Sports House, we understand that kitesurfing equipment in the wakestyle category needs to be “adamantine.” The Core Bolt 4 delivers on this promise, offering a construction so robust it includes a repairable base, ensuring your board kiteboard stays in the game season after session.

Technical Innovation: Built for the Purists

The Bolt 4 isn’t just a tweak of its predecessor; it introduces significant structural upgrades that refine the kitesurfing experience. It is the toughest board in the Core lineup, utilizing four layers of proprietary carbon fiber to eliminate reverse flex and provide a massive, explosive pop.

1. Doubled Up Cartan® Carbon

While most boards use two layers of carbon, the Bolt 4 features four layers of Core’s exclusive 30° biaxial Cartan® carbon. This high-filament, low-resin weave optimizes torsional stiffness. It allows the board to flex longitudinally for comfort while remaining incredibly rigid against the “bad flex” (negative rocker) that can occur during heavy, off-balance landings.

2. The Katana Channels & Beveled Rails

New for the Bolt 4 are the Katana Channels. This design continues the contours of the bottom tip channels into the top deck, resembling the profile of a Katana sword. This adds targeted stiffness to the tips, allowing you to store and release significantly more energy when loading your edge for a trick.

3. Pro Fix Grindbase

Kitesurfing near shorelines or on sliders usually means scratches. The Bolt 4 features a Pro Fix Grindbase made of high-modulus polyethylene. Just like a snowboard, any dings or gouges can be quickly repaired with a standard PTEX candle, maintaining the board’s slick sliding properties for years.

Key Performance Points:

  • Tucked Under Rails: A new 60/40 tucked-under rail between the boots transitions into a flat box rail at the tips. This provides a more forgiving ride in chop without sacrificing the “bite” needed for unhooked takeoffs.

  • V-Shaped Keel: Inspired by deep-vee powerboats, the full-length V-keel slices through water, eating up chop and smoothing out the heaviest landings.

  • Multi-Channel Hull: Four deep, full-length channels provide extreme lateral resistance. This makes the Bolt 4 incredibly stable even when riding finless on park features.

  • Rail Ready Base: The hull is beveled and countersunk between the boots to create a perfectly flat sliding platform that won’t “catch” on rails.

Sizing and Rider Weight Guide

Choosing the right size is critical for maintaining board speed and ensuring you have enough “landing pad” for high-impact moves.

  • 136 x 42 cm: Best for lighter riders (under 75kg) or those looking for the lowest possible swing weight during technical rotations.

  • 139 x 42.5 cm: The standard size for most wakestyle riders (75kg – 90kg), providing the perfect balance of pop and surface area.

  • 142 x 42.75 cm: The powerhouse size for larger riders (90kg+) or those riding in slightly lighter wind conditions who need maximum plane-ability.

Why Choose the Core Bolt 4?

If your kite surfing involves kickers, sliders, and unhooked technicality, the Bolt 4 is in a league of its own. It is a board for purists who demand a “dead” feel—meaning it doesn’t bounce or vibrate—providing a rock-solid platform that feels like an extension of your boots.

  1. Indestructible Build: Reinforced with plywood blocks and 4 layers of carbon.

  2. Park Performance: Beveled channels and a grindbase designed for obstacles.

  3. Versatility: Two sets of fins allow you to tune the board for a “skatey” or “locked-in” feel.

Elevate your wakestyle game and stop worrying about your gear. The Core Bolt 4 is built to last. Pick yours up at Water Sports House and start shredding with confidence.
