Description

The Wings Articulated Container/Harness by Sunrise Mfg. is a skydiving system designed with a focus on comfort, safety, and reliability. It’s certified under FAA TSO-C23d, meaning it has passed rigorous testing for heavier weights and higher speeds.

A key feature is its articulated harness, utilizing a flexible ring system at the intersection of the laterals, main lift web, and leg pads. This design allows for true flexibility and prevents twisting or flexing of the webbing, a common issue in other systems. The harness is designed to contour to the body, providing comfort on the ground, in the aircraft, and especially under canopy, where it aims to cradle the hips and position the legs forward, reducing pressure on the thighs.

The Wings Articulated Container/Harness by Sunrise Mfg. includes simple yet effective riser covers designed to stay closed during freefall and open reliably for deployment. They are engineered to prevent the stiffeners in the tuck tabs from bending prematurely, a common cause of riser covers opening unexpectedly.

The system also features a durable Cordura Bottom of Container (BOC) pouch for the pilot chute, which is more resistant to wear and tear compared to traditional spandex pouches and helps prevent premature deployments. Some models offer a Freefly Handle, a low-profile design for throw-out pilot chutes that minimizes bridle exposure and is easy to grab.

The Anti-Line Twist Main D-Bag is designed to reduce line twists during deployment by stowing the lines closer to the center of the bag. For added safety, a wider stiffener is often sewn into the underside of the reserve flap to ensure the reserve pin remains protected from the wind. The system often includes features like cut-in laterals for better body fit and options for additional padding for enhanced comfort.
